2006 Hyundai Tucson Overview
Introduction
The Hyundai Tucson is a compact SUV that has good quality, satisfying performance, and comes at an affordable price.
The Tucson is offered in three trim levels. Basic GL and mid-range GLS continue as before, while last year's LX model has been replaced by a more luxurious Limited model. Four-cylinder and V6 engines are available, as are front-wheel drive and four-wheel drive. The GL is powered by a 140-horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder. It comes standard with front-wheel drive and a five-speed manual transmission. The GLS is powered by a 173-horsepower 2.7-liter V6 engine mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. The Limited is upgraded with things like leather seating, heated seats, and auto-dimming inside rearview mirror.
For 2006, the Hyundai Tucson features some minor appearance revisions and a new flagship Limited model.
NHTSA Frontal Crash Test
