2009 Hyundai Sonata Overview
Introduction
The Hyundai Sonata has become a large car, with a full-size edge in creature comfort. Fit and finish are now on a par with most others in the class and it is more technologically advanced and sharper looking than ever before.
The Sonata is a four-door, five passenger sedan. Although several engine choices are offered in Korea, North America will see two of the engines, which are noticeable upgrades from last year's model's engines. The first engine choice is a DOHC 2.4-liter four-cylinder, producing 175 horsepower and 169 pound-feet of torque. The second, more powerful choice is a 3.3-liter V6 engine, producing 239 horsepower and 228 pound-feet of torque.
The 2009 Hyundai Sonata is refreshed with improved engine choices, a revised grille and headlights, and chrome accents in the front and rear bumpers.
