The Hyundai Genesis sedan is designed to offer the luxury appointments of much more expensive cars, for less.
The Genesis can be had with a 333-hp 3.8-liter V6, a 385-hp or a 429-hp 5.0-liter V8. Power is sent to the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission that features manual sequential shift capability. Mechanical safety features include traction control, stability control, and panic brake assist. The interior features a full complement of airbags, electronic active front headrests that provide whiplash protection, and a tire pressure monitor. Luxurious power heated leather seats, automatic dual-zone climate control and woodgrain trim are just some of the appointments this car offers that are typically only found in vehicles costing much more.
The Genesis has been decreased to two trims for 2013: 3.8 and 5.0 R-Spec.
