2008 Hyundai Accent Overview
Introduction
The Hyundai Accent sedan brings some suave to the entry-level family segment and the hatchback offers hip accessories ranging from a strut-tower brace to faux carbon-fiber trim.
Power comes from a 1.6-liter double overhead-cam engine that produces 110 horsepower, featuring variable valve timing. A five-speed manual transmission is standard, a four-speed automatic transmission is optional. The environmentally friendly Accent has an Ultra-Low Emission Vehicle 2 rating. Its safety features include front seat seatbelt pre-tensioners and six airbags (front, seat-mounted side-impact, and side-curtain) as standard on all models. The Accent is available as a GS or SE hatchback, and as a GLS four-door sedan.
For 2008, the Hyundai Accent receives minor changes.
