2006 Honda S2000 Overview
Introduction
The Honda S2000 is a two-seat roadster with the size of the small Mazda Miata and speed of the Porsche Boxster.
One model is available of the S2000 and it is equipped with a 237 hp 2.2-liter four-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed manual gearbox; an automatic is not available. There are a few dealer-installed options available, including a removable hardtop, trunk spoiler, XM Satellite Radio and headrest speakers. The S2000 has a short 162.2-inch profile and stiff suspension that allow it to have excellent handling.
For 2006, the Honda S2000 receives Vehicle Stability Assist and a Drive-by-wire throttle.
The S2000 seats two passengers very tightly and has only 4.2 inches of ground clearance. It features standard drive-by-wire throttle-control, Vehicle Stability Assist, High-intensity-discharge headlamps and 17-inch alloy wheels. It is powered by a 2.2-liter four-cylinder that puts out 237 horsepower. The engine is controlled by a six-speed manual transmission. The S2000 has a short 162.2-inch profile and stiff suspension that allow it to have excellent handling.

The S2000 has a stiff suspension, and comes with a molded top cover (body-colored hardtop optional) and leather-trimmed bucket seats. All-disc antilock brakes come standard.
For 2008, significant changes to the Honda S2000 are found in its wheel design, suspension, and gauge layout. Its engine is a carryover from 2007. A new limited edition Honda S2000 CR (which stands for "Club Racer") is also available in 2008, with standard aluminum hardtop, specially designed aerodynamic front spoiler and rear wing, upgraded suspension, and cloth seats with synthetic suede trimmings. The air conditioning and radio are optional and for additional weight savings the sound insulation, spare tire and jack, and convertible soft top have been removed on the CR.
