The 2013 GMC Terrain is a boldly styled five-passenger crossover SUV engineered with excellent fuel economy in mind. The Terrain is built alongside its sister vehicle, the Chevrolet Equinox at the CAMI assembly plant.
The Terrain is powered by either a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with 182-hp, or a 3.6-liter V6 engine with 301-hp. Both all-aluminum engines include direct injection and are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission that helps to maximize efficiency. Buyers can choose between either a front-wheel or all-wheel drive system, depending on which meets their needs. Standard safety features include four-wheel anti-lock brakes with electronic stability and traction control, six airbags, OnStar, tire pressure monitoring and a security system. Available technology features include a safety package which is comprised of forward collision alert, lane departure warning and rear park assist. Also available is a power liftgate, remote vehicle start and seven-inch touch screen navigation system with 40-gigabyte hard drive.
For 2013, there is now a Denali trim available that offers satin chrome accents, front illuminated sill plates, unique wheels and a side blind zone alert system.
