2010 GMC Sierra 2500HD Overview
Introduction
The Sierra 2500HD is the full-size, heavy duty, 'three-quarter ton' model in GMC's line of pickups. Like all Sierras, the 2500HD is available in a wide array of bed sizes, wheelbases, drive types and cab sizes, in Work Truck, SLE and SLT trim levels. It is designed to haul everything from a construction crew and their equipment to race car trailers, horse trailers and more.
A new-for-2010 360-horsepower 6.0-liter Vortec V8 engine powers the rugged Sierra 2500HD, while a 6.6L Duramax diesel engine is optional, and 312-horsepower 6-0-liter V8 is available with the Pickup Box Delete option. Safety features include driver and passenger front air bags, tire pressure monitoring system and four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes.
The Sierra 2500HD is visually unchanged from 2010. The standard 360-horsepower 6.0L V8 is new, while new audio systems feature audio-DVD and USB ports.
