2004 GMC Savana Overview

Introduction

The GMC Savana is a rugged, durable van capable of transporting several passengers comfortably and, as a cargo van, carrying a large payload.

The Savana is available in three sizes ranging from the G1500 to the G3500. Each size is available with RWD, though the G1500 is also available as an AWD vehicle. Engine sizes also vary from the basic 4.3L Vortec V-6, which produces 195 hp @ 4600 rpm and 260 lb-ft @ 2800 rpm, to a powerful 6.0L Vortec V-8, which increases the output to 300 hp @ 4400 rpm and 360 lb-ft @ 4000 rpm. Safety features on the Savana includes: 4-wheel disc brakes, 4-channel ABS, and front-impact airbags. Customers are also offered their choice of optional equipment such as: a heavy-duty locking differential, reclining bucket seats, 6-way power seats, rear air conditioning, power locks, and OnStar.

The 2004 Savana remains mostly unchanged from the 2003 model year.
