2005 GMC Envoy XL Overview

Introduction

The GMC Envoy XL is an elongated version of the GMC Envoy that allows for seven passengers instead of just five. It also provides greater hauling versatility. It is smooth, stylish, comfortable and civilized.

The Envoy XL comes with a six-cylinder Vortec 4200 engine and a four speed automatic transmission. Customers have a choice between two-wheel and four-wheel drive. Packages available include the SLE, SLT, and Denali. Each trim add increases the numbers of features and the Denali package includes a 5.3-liter V-8. Because it's longer and heavier, the XL is reported to not handle as well as the Envoy nor feel as reassuring as the wider GMC Yukon. However, the Envoy XL comes with increased usability and versatility compared to the regular GMC Envoy because it offers additional storage room or a third row seat.
