2012 Ford Taurus

    2012 Ford Taurus Review Summaries

What reviewers liked most about the Ford Taurus

    • Dashboard and interior door panels are thickly padded, as in the Lincoln MKS, and the ambient lighting in the interior door pockets and footwells, available in seven colors, is as trick as in any German luxury car. The Taurus' center stack expands out from a deep dash, cocooning the driver almost like a sporty car with a "cockpit"-style driver's seat.

      - Motor Trend
    • The driver's seat is stingy with bolstering though, and it feels as if you're sitting on it, not in it.

What reviewers liked least about the Ford Taurus

    • The latest Taurus doesn't inspire comparisons with any Eurosedans.

    Ford Taurus Comparisons

    • The Ford Taurus bridges the gap between family sedans and luxury cars. Lower-priced trim levels will be compared to the Honda Accord, Hyundai Azera and Toyota Avalon. The Limited will compete with entry-level luxury sedans like the Hyundai Genesis, Lincoln's MKS and MKZ, and the Nissan Maxima. The SHO is clearly aimed at Chrysler's 300C. Among this crowd, we think pretty highly of the new Taurus.

Best one-liner about the Ford Taurus

    • Franklin Delano Roosevelt drove a Ford.

      - Motor Trend
    • With available all-wheel drive, a huge, quiet and well-appointed cabin, best-in-class trunk volume, and a 263-hp V-6, the Taurus does everything expected of a modern large sedan.
