Gas hog and Poor Power
I had a 2001 Ranger 4x4 with the 4.0 v6 and let me tell you it was an underpowered gas hog. I traded up to a used 2003 Ford F150 4x4 with the 5.4 v8 and i can tell you there is no comparrison. The F150 is way better built and has more Power at the same mileage as the ranger. I will never get another ranger
