all the manual transmissions are having big problem shifting right even the new 2013 and the clutch pushs out. everything else on the car is just fine , except the cylinder head overheating the number 8 cylinder. Some people have gone thru 3 trannys and clutches and have now taking legal action. AND FORD JUST KEEPS SELLING THE 2013 GT EVEN THE BOSS 302S ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEMs. MADE IN CHINA TRANNIES RATED AT 365 FT-LB OF TORQUE AND THE GT HAS 390. i really thought ford finally inproved quaily. QUAILY IS NOT JOB NUMBER 1. every ford dealer ive been in the past 3 yrs DO NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE! lucky gm still does!

I test drove one sports car after another and I decided to buy the 2011 Mustang V6. I had really wanted the new Camaro, but my husband asked me to try the Mustang before I bought anything. After test driving three different models of the 2011 Camaro, I realized that Chevy seemed to put all of their effort into making what looks like a beautiful car- but forgot to care enough about the interior and the transmission. I'll admit, I don't know much about motors, but I could feel that the Camaro was going to give me one bill after another in repairs. It was plastic feeling and didn't change gears well. It was like a 16 yr. old was under the hood manually changing the gears even when I tried the auto transmission. That was the end of the Camaro for me. I test drove the Mustang 5.0 and the V6. I chose the 305 hp V6 that would save me a ton in gas and insurance and have not had a single regret. The V6 is smooth, sleek, and powerful- more than enough to rev my engine here and there! The only issue I had was that there are only 2 cup holders- which I later realized was not optional. I would like to have a third and fourth- but it doesn't bother me much anyway. I got all the bells and whistles in the V6 for a great price- and Ford offers a new maintenance plan for $1500 which covers all necessary maintenance (oil changes, etc). For a chick like me, I know that I will have no problems with the engine or transmission since Ford makes extremely well made vehicles. Not only is she a tough car- but I get soooo many looks from strangers as I drive down the road admiring this car's beautiful shape. Nice job Ford- for making a truly beautiful and well made sports car. I recommend that anyone who is looking into a sports car- try the Mustang first. Save yourself the time and energy- you won't want anything else!

Quote by other writer "To be brief, Paint and Clear coat thin, Std. seats lack lumbar, Radio sucks, Std. equipment handling boat like, very little steering wheel response, 6th gear is a joke, you'll never use it and when you do it bogs down so bad so you'll always use 5th hence your gas mileage will suffer. I've yat to get better than 20 mpg. The 305 hp. engine is great runs well on reg. gas." I am now owner of my first Ford vehicle which is the 2011 V-6 Mustang. I purchased this vehicle back in October 4, 2010 and it already has just over 1,500 miles. The car is the bomb. I have no clue on what the other writer is talking about. The standard radio is fine! Of course, this is coming from a 36 year old who enjoys having his hearing. Handling is like a dream. The car corners on a dime. I have gotten 30 mpg on highway with cruise control set at 70 mph. For the person who is only getting 20 mpg , they don't know how to drive. Or perhaps there foot is floored to the pedel at every green traffic light. I had tested the 2010 Camaro RS along with the Dodge Challenger RT. Either car I could of easily afforded but the best overall pony car is the Mustang. One does not need to waste the extra 7,500 dollars to get the 5.0, V-8. The V-6 305 hp is plenty of muscle for the average non drag racer. Getting to that traffic light one second faster is just not worth the extra 7,500 dollars. Seats are comfortable on long rides. Plenty of room for a person who is 6-4, 240 plus. Great value for the money, $ 22,500 nicely equipped with spoiler, stripe package and automatic.

I bought the v6 premium 2dr coupe and I love ******* comfortable, the 500 shaker audio kicks, The 6 speed auto, is smooth, the car will run with anything on the road, 305 horses in a light car and you have no problems, getting on the highway. so far i am getting about 24 mph around town, with mixed highway and street driving, you can drive that down, if you decide your going to be first to the next light. (and it will certainly do so)I ******* had a few places to put stuff like sun glasses, etc, but hey its a sports car! and the v6 performs like one!
