2006 Ford Focus Overview
Introduction
The Ford Focus is inexpensive, stylish, practical and fun. It is roomy and has a nice balance between a soft, smooth ride and responsive handling for a compact car.
The Focus comes in four body styles: the ZX3, a three-door hatchback; the ZX4, a four-door sedan; the ZX5, a five-door hatchback; and the ZXW, a wagon. All models but the ZX4 ST come with a 136 hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. They are paired with a five-speed manual transmission or four-speed automatic. The ZX4 ST comes with a 151-horsepower 2.3-liter four-cylinder and five-speed manual. Safety features that come on all Focus models include second-generation front airbags, child safety seat attachments, and child locks on the rear doors.
The Ford Focus is a carryover from 2005.

Small, economical, and fun, the Focus is a smart choice for those looking for a compact car.
The Focus has undergone a restyling just short of a complete redesign. It keeps its former platform and engine, but has a completely new look inside and out. The front of the car now has a large chrome grille and overall the car sits a little higher than its previous incarnation. As before, the engine is a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder with a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic. However, Ford has modified and updated the Focus' suspension and and the engine intake and cooling systems. The interior is now more technologically motivated, featuring a Sync system that allows the driver to synchronize various mobile electronic devices such as mp3 players and cell phones. Ford now offers three trim levels: the standard S, and the increasingly more upscale SE and SES. The Focus is now available only as a coupe or sedan and no longer as a hatchback. Airbags and side-curtain airbags come standard.
The Ford Focus receives a major styling overhaul, short of a complete redesign, for 2008.
Small, economical, and fun, the 2009 Ford Focus is a smart choice for those looking for a compact car.
Available as a coupe or sedan the Focus includes only minor changes for 2009. Restyled and refreshed for 2008, Ford modified and updated the Focus' exterior, interior, suspension, and engine intake and cooling systems. The interior features an available Sync system that allows the driver to synchronize various mobile electronic devices such as mp3 players and cell phones. Four airbags are standard, rear seats now include headrests, and electronic stability control is available. Ford offers two trims on the coupe, the SE and SES; and four on the sedan, the S, SE, sporty SES, and luxury SEL.
