Ford get a CLUE
I have 8 F-350's in my fleet all diesel. I have never had a diesel truck with such poor gas mileage. Although the pulling capacity is outstanding my older F-350's pulled just fine. I would not recomend anyone purchase this truck if you are looking for a somewhat fuel effecient 1 ton vehicle. If you want a Ford buy a V-10 and it will work out the same. Styling and comfort are good as usual in fords. Just very disappoint that Ford got hung up in the towing capacity hype and lost track of the fact that we use 1 ton diesels as they pull well but still have some consitent gas mileage.

Traded in my 05 6.0L for this bad boy and am sooo glad I did the trade. Very comfortable, looks great, runs it butt off and there is nothing like a Ford. This truck could run up and down Mt Everest all day. I took the truck out the first weekend I had it and did a little 4 wheeling in a logged area up in Bloomsburg, Pa. Thought for sure I was getting stuck, didnt happen. Then we chained up my buddies duramax, hitch to hitch, pulled him about 80 feet when his tranny blew. Then back at camp the chainsaw wouldnt start so we chained up 8 inch diamiter trees. Pulled them right out of the ground so needless to say we now have plenty of firewood drying for next year. MPG needs to improve but I only have 5200 miles on the odometer. Powerstroke has my vote again!

I just got a 2008 Ford F450 from Lucas Ford Lincoln Mercury Inc. in Southold there is a very knowledgable salesman named Timothy MacDonald who gave me a great deal . They also sell F350, F450, F550, F650, F750 all body applications this is by far the best Commercial Vehicle dealership on Long Island . No pressure just a laid back friendly atompsphere .
I have had this truck since end of January. The diesel mileage is disappointing, but besides that, there is no other truck option.

F350 Super Beauty, Super Duty

Well, here is a Chevy man with his first blue oval vehicle ever. All my buddies said to at least try it when a diesel was needed. My 2007 Avalanche couldn't handle my trailer and Skid Steer without gruntin' it's guts out. I looked at and drove the Ford for a day just to say I did then went to my Chevy dealer to buy the Silverado diesel. He said to keep it a day or two (business must be tough). Rode like a car, looks like a bulldog/dauchund cross (U.G.L.Y.). Interior is made for a woman's taste, too pure and simple. The Ford was superior in every category. Ergonomically great, quiet, powerful, smooth for a 1 ton. I've had it 4 months and it has been flawless. Fit and finish is excellent. This truck will be truck of the year for sure. Getting 22.4 MPG on highway @ 65 mph. Was less before it hit 10,000 miles. Biggest drawback was the price difference - $ 6500 more for the 350 and the selection was fair the dealer was a thief. Hope to go 400,000 miles on this one.
