2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac Overview

Introduction

All the versatility of an award winning SUV combined with the practicality of a rugged pick up truck unite in the Ford Explorer Sport Trac.

The 2002 Sport Trac comes in multiple trim levels with both manual and automatic transmissions. Equipped with a powerful 4.0L V-6 210 hp @ 5200 rpm engine, this truck/SUV hybrid is an overachiever. Unlike the regular Explorer, the Sport Trac includes a 4-foot pick-up truck style cargo box in the rear while maintaining its 4-door, 5 passenger seating in its roomy interior.

The 2002 Explorer Sport Trac now comes with a 16” cast aluminum wheel and is available in new colors. No major changes have been made mechanically.
