2007 Ford Escape Hybrid Overview
Introduction
The Ford Escape Hybrid is the dual gas/electric powered version of the Ford Escape. Its smooth ride and agile handling make for enjoyable driving, and its compact dimensions make it easy to maneuver and park when you get there.
The Escape Hybrid is available with four-wheel drive or two-wheel drive. All come with continuously variable automatic transmissions; no manuals are available. The power comes from a 2.3-liter Duratec four-cylinder combined with an electric motor, making it a hybrid vehicle able to use either engine when needed. It comes in one well-equipped trim level and optional leather seating, upgraded audio equipment, side-curtain airbags and a navigation system are available. A safety package includes side-curtain airbags that cover all seating areas as well as side airbags for the driver and front-seat passenger.
The Ford Escape Hybrid is a carryover from 2006.
NHTSA Frontal Crash Test
