2000 Ford E-250 Overview

Introduction

The Ford E-250 is a full-size, rear-wheel drive cargo van.

The E-250, which comes in either standard or extended length, offers customers the choice of two trims: commercial and recreational. The E-250 vans are powered by either a 4.2L V-6 engine, which produces 200 hp @ 4700 rpm and 250 lb-ft @ 2700 rpm, or a 5.4L V-8 engine, which outputs 255 hp @ 4500 rpm and 350 lb-ft @ 2500 rpm, and a 4 -speed automatic transmission. As well, customers have the option of choosing a 4.2L natural gas V-8 engine, which cuts fuel costs slightly. The E-250 has a payload rating of up to 3520 lbs and towing capacity of up to 7500 lbs. Standard features on the E-250 include: 4-wheel disc brakes, ABS, and 16” wheels.

In terms of mileage, the 2000 E-250 cargo van averages 12-14 mpg city and 15-18 mpg highway driving.
