2004 Ford E-150 Overview
Introduction
The Ford E-150 is a full-size, rear-wheel drive van available in either passenger-carrying or cargo-hauling variations.
There are two trims available for the E-150 cargo model, commercial and recreational, while the E-150 passenger model offers three trims: the XL, the XLT, and the Chateau. Customers purchasing an E-150 have the option of two engines: a 4.6L V-8, which produces 225 hp @ 4800 rpm and 286 lb-ft @ 3500 rpm, or a 5.4L V-8, which increase the van's carry capabilities to 255 hp @ 4500 rpm and 350 lb-ft @ 2500 rpm, though both engines can only be teamed with a 4-speed automatic transmission. The passenger model of the E-150 can seat up to seven or eight occupants depending on the trim. The cargo models have a payload rating of up to 2125 lbs, and towing capacity of up to 6500 lbs. Standard features on the E-150 include: 4-wheel disc brakes, ABS, and 16” wheels. In terms of mileage, this vehicle averages 13-15 mpg city and 17-19 mpg highway driving.Next Steps »
