2000 Ford E-150 Overview
Introduction
The Ford E-150 is a full-size, rear-wheel drive van available as either a passenger-carrying or a cargo-hauling vehicle.
The E-150 cargo-hauling model comes in two trims, commercial or recreational, while the passenger- carrying model offers customers the choice of the XL or the XLT trims. The E-150 vans are powered by a range of three engines: the 4.2L V-6, which produces 200 hp @ 4700 rpm and 250 lb-ft @ 2700 rpm, the 4.6L V-8, and the 5.4L V-8, which outputs 255 hp @ 4500 rpm and 350 lb-ft @ 2500 rpm, and a 4-speed automatic transmission. Passenger models of the E-150 have the capacity to seat eight occupants comfortably, while the cargo models have a payload rating of up to 2010 lbs and a towing capacity of up to 6900 lbs. Standard features on the E-150 include: ABS and 15” wheels. In terms of mileage, the 2000 Ford E-150 averages 14-15 mpg city and 19-20 mpg highway driving.NHTSA Frontal Crash Test
