1999 Dodge Viper Overview

Introduction

The Dodge Viper is a powerful rear-wheel drive sports car designed for speed and high-performance.

For 1999, the Viper is available in two body styles: the 2-door coupe and the 2-door roadster. The main difference between the two models is that the roadster is equipped with a Targa-style removable roof, while the coupe is not. Both versions are powered by an 8.0L V-10 engine, which outputs 450 hp @ 5200 rpm and 490 lb-ft @ 3700 rpm, and a 6-speed manual transmission. Standard features on the Viper include: 4-wheel disc brakes, sport suspension, and a security system. New for 1999 are the 18” wheels that come standard on both models. As well, customers have the choice of five exterior and two interior colors.

The 1999 Dodge Viper averages 12 mpg city and 21 mpg highway driving.
