2005 Dodge Sprinter Van 2500 Overview

Introduction

The Dodge Sprinter 2500 is a full-size van designed for commercial applications.

The Sprinter 2500 has a 2.7L inline 5-cylinder turbo diesel engine that outputs 154 hp 3800 rpm and 243 lb-ft @ 1600 rpm. The Sprinter seats two and has two front doors, two swing-out rear doors, and one sliding side door (with an optional second sliding door available). There are three choices of wheelbases available: 118, 140 and 158-inches. As well, there are two options for the roof height: standard or high, which adds 9” of interior space. Depending on the van's configuration, the Sprinter can carry a payload of up to 5086 lbs, and have anywhere from 247 to 473 cubic feet of storage space. The van comes standard with ABS and 4-wheel disc brakes.

For 2005, the Sprinter Van added new standard equipment including an on-board diagnostic system, a third brake light on the rear roof, and identification lamps on the cab's front roof.
