i have an 04 dodge ram 1500 quadcab and had water in the electrical about 4 times from new england rain. i had transmission "shudder" at 50 k miles, and had tranny codes ranging from bad solnoids to 4th and 5th gear ratio incorrect codes. i hear mutter from people mentioning faulty valvebody, they were made with a plastic module and the new ones come with a metal module and had a recall for a small period of time, i did research on this and found no such recall.took to dealership dodge woul…

I bought this truck in February of 2008. It's a regular cab SLT Sport 4WD with a short bed. I am not a fan of Sport models, so this somewhat biases my review. I prefer off-road themed models, but I couldn't pass up the low miles and low price. PROS: 5.7L Hemi provides strong acceleration, good towing and hauling capability, handles excellent in snow and ice, relatively tight turning radius, lots of room behind seats to carry cargo. The 04 Ram I have was at the top of the market at the time but how things have changed. I did not think I would buy another truck for some time but after looking over the new 09 Ram I think I will be getting back that dreaded payment book. Dodge has went through this truck from top to bottom and the imporovements are without question the best yet......move over chevy, ford......the new king has arrived.
