The Dodge Grand Caravan is a more option friendly version of the Dodge Caravan. In an era of increasing SUV purchases, the Dodge Grand Caravan offers more practicality and features than other vans and SUVs.

The 'Stow 'n Go' system allows for easy interchangeable configurations that are conducive to transporting people and furniture right after each other. As the Grand Caravan is upgraded, engine capacity increases from a 3.3-liter V6 to a 3.8-liter V6. Each Grand Caravan model increases with standard features and adds a dizzying amount of options, including the practical 'Stow 'n Go' seating configurations, dual power sliding doors, fog lamps, roof rack, eight-way power driver's seat, and backseat entertainment system.

Changes for 2006 are minimal.

AT A GLANCE

Over-the-road handling was imprecise. The path varies with throttle position on acceleration, a mild but annoying form of torque steer that's really inexcusable given the meager torque. Add to that a general steering vagueness, coupled with a lack of discipline in controlling suspension motions, and you have flabby handling.
