don't be misguided by bad reviews
I bought this car from the show room floor after driving it 5 miles. I have a 2012 jeep that I LOVE but this car is soooo much fun to drive! I have the Limited with the big screen for back up and it has gotten okay gas mileage so far. I bought this when I went back to work because I drive 72 miles a day for work. I really hate to say that it is quieter than than my $40,000 Jeep. I truly enjoy the sound system, the ease of getting in to parking spaces and watching the gas mileage. The enterior is superb.....not cheaply made. So what that you can't go 60 in 2 seconds, I'm trying to save money. I have an Elantra that my daughter drives and this car surpases that for comfort, gas mileage and enterior design. I told my husband this is my "Late life crisi car". No problems.
The 2013 Dart
We bought ours in late October. It's a base SE model with a manual 6 speed tranny. I Haven't had so much fun driving a car since I was a teenager in my '59 Chevy 2 door with a 283 and Hurst on the floor. The car handles like a sports car, fuel economy is great and it's like a new toy with the stick shift!! My wife was a bit trepiditious at first but quickly adapted to the trans and loves it, she thinks she's Dale Earnhart (the car is black). The 2.0 liter engine is amazing, scoots right along thru the gears (I doubt it would be as much fun as an auto trams). We drive to Maine frequently and our first time out with the Dart we got 37 MPG with a new engine. I am impressed and very happy with it.
