    2013 Dodge Challenger Review Summaries

What reviewers liked most about the Dodge Challenger

    • Fear not, Mopar mavens: Despite every exterior surface being different, the production Challenger is a near-clone of the fervor-building show star, sporting necessary alterations that do little to diminish the shape's impact.

      - Motor Trend
    • Unlike the original Challenger, which had a shapely "fuselage" body that wrapped under at the rocker panels, the new car is slightly more slab-sided. But that's a good thing because it makes this muscular car, with its 20-in. wheels and tires, look as if it is firmly planted to the tarmac.

      - Road & Track

What reviewers liked least about the Dodge Challenger

    • The steering is heavier than a Charger's - the sedan with which the Challenger shares its platform - and the suspension is tuned more toward ride comfort than sport, neither of which does the car any weight-masking favor.

      - Car and Driver
    • The Challenger is too big and heavy to merit any consideration as a sports car and isn't ideal for tossing around on tight racetracks or mountain roads.

      - New Car Test Drive

    Dodge Challenger Comparisons

    • on sheet-flat roads it won't enjoy a significant advantage over the Mustang's solid rear axle, but as the surface gets rougher the more balanced Challenger should cope better even though it's heavier.
