2000 Dodge Caravan Overview
Introduction
One of the most recognizable and established North American vans is back, and the Dodge Caravan has pulled out all the stops this year to prove why no other minivan compares.
The 2000 Caravan is available with two engines, either a robust 2.4L engine with 150 hp @ 5200 rpm, or a powerful 3.3L V-6 engine with 158 hp @ 4850 rpm. The Caravan comes with a 4-speed automatic transmission, and is fully loaded with safety and comfort features. The 2000 Caravan didn't see many changes over the previous model year; however the new model does come standard with an AM/FM cassette player, and is available in new color options.NHTSA Frontal Crash Test
NHTSA rates crash-tested vehicles by assigning them one to five stars, with five stars indicating the most injury protection and one star indicating the least protection.
