2005 Chrysler 300C Overview
Introduction
The 300C is the high-performance version of Chrysler's luxurious 300 sedans.
The 300C is powered by the renowned HEMI engine, which is available in either a 5.7L 340 hp @ 5000 rpm and 390 lb-ft @ 4000 rpm 300C version or, the commanding 6.1L 425 hp @ 6200 rpm and 420 lb-ft @ 4800 rpm SRT-8 version. This powerful vehicle is available with rear and all-wheel drive, and an Electronic Stability Program to improve handling in treacherous driving conditions. The interior is spacious and has the most rear-seat legroom of any competing rear-wheel drive sedan. Aesthetic touches include a leather-wrapped steering wheel and chrome gauge rings. The exterior styling is bold and authoritative especially on the SRT-8 with its Brembo brakes, oversize grille, and 20-inch wheels. There is both a regular and long wheelbase model, which adds roughly 6 inches in length. Exclusive to the 5.7L model is Chrysler's Multi-Displacement System which deactivates 4 of the 8 cylinders under cruise conditions. This feature significantly improves fuel economy and lowers emissions up to 10-20% according to Chrysler.Next Steps »
