1999 Chevrolet Tahoe Overview

Introduction

The Chevrolet Tahoe is a multi-purpose mid-size SUV with a history for being reliable and affordable.

The Tahoe comes in 2-door and 4-door models, and is offered in both 4x2 and 4x4 wheel drive. Within these variations there are three trim levels: the base model, the LS, and the LT. All trims come with a 5.7L V-8 engine, which outputs 255 hp @ 4600 rpm and 330 lb-ft @ 2800 rpm, and a 4-speed manual transmission. Customers also have the option to upgrade their engine to a 6.5L V-8 engine, which outputs 180 hp @ 3400 rpm and 360 lb-ft @ 1800 rpm. The LT model comes standard with leather interior, and, if the Décor Package is selected, seatback storage compartments, rear cup holders, a chrome grille, courtesy lights, and other upgrades are included.

For 1999, all Tahoe models come standard with 4-wheel ABS brakes.
