The 2009 Chevrolet Suburban retains the same maximum-size virtues that have made it a bestseller for so many years. It remains the first choice for anyone who needs to haul six or more people plus their cargo.

The Suburban 1500 is available in LS, LT, and LTZ trims in both 2WD and 4WD. It can seat up to nine passengers in its three rows of seats. All engines on the Suburban 1500 feature GM's Active Fuel Management technology and some engines can run on both E85 ethanol-blended fuel as well as regular unleaded gasoline. The standard engine on the Suburban is a 310-hp 5.3-liter V8. An optional 366-hp 6.0-liter V8 may be substituted on the LT and LTZ trims. All engines are matched with a six-speed automatic transmission. All-disc anti-lock brakes, traction control, side curtain airbags and GM's StabiliTrak electronic stability system with rollover mitigation are standard.

The 2009 Chevrolet Suburban carries over from 2008.
