2006 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD Overview
Introduction
The Chevrolet Silverado still stands tall among a superb new crop of full-size pickups. Roomy cabins, comfortable seats, a comfortable ride, and powerful engines make the Silverado a great work truck.
Like all full-size pickups, the Silverado is available in a vast array of configurations: two-wheel drive and four-wheel-drive; regular cabs, extended cabs, and crew cabs; short beds (6-1/2-foot) and long beds (8-foot). The 2500HD is available in base, LS and LT trim levels. It is powered by a 6.0-liter V-8, Duramax 300 hp turbo-diesel V-8, or 330 hp 8.1-liter V-8. To aid in towing a 345 hp V-8 with four-wheel drive is also available. Safety features include antilock brakes and front airbags.
The Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD is a carryover from 2005.
