Love my 2009 HHR
I have had my HHR since Nov.2008 and I love it! I have a 5 speed LS and I love the way it drives. My husband is 6'3" and has plenty of head room. We have a 120 mile round trip to work and get 30mpg! We already have 11,000 miles on it and no problems. We would like a few more inches of arm room in the front, not much space when you have your heavy winter coats on. Also, the shifter is a little cheesy and wimpy shifting. We are considering a 2nd one since I don't commute with him in the summer.
2007 HHR LT
Overall I love my 2007 HHR and its style. I have driven over 42,000 miles during the two years I've had it. It has a very comfortable ride with good gas mileage. I do ******* had an extra inch of space between the side of the front seats and the doors...otherwise I have few compliants. I definitely would consider purchasing another HHR in the future.
came back to chevy from ford
I have had my 2009 LS 4 speed automatic for a little over a month and have put 1800 miles on it. I have a 60 mile round trip commute to work 5 days a week. MPG so far with a combination of city/highway driving is 26.5. I find my HHR to be a quiet, smooth riding vehicle. I am new to ONSTAR and I really like the hands free feature! Also the info feature is nice, being able to check tire pressure...average mpg...etc. If I had one complaint it would be the outside temperature sensor. If I park at night when the temp is 46 and the next day the temp is 60...it will not show the correct temp unless I drive down the interstate for 5-10 miles. Driving around town at slower speeds the temp will continue to show 46! Now, if I park at night with a temp of 60 and the next morning the temp is 46...then the temp will update fairly quickly. My dealer said an engineer designed it that way.
Car reviewer 5
I drove this car for a week before I took it back to the dealer. The HHR is possibly the worse car ever built. It has no leg room, the seating is narrow, and the climate controls are blocked nicely by the gear selector. As for the exterior, the plastic shrouds for the windshield wipers get iced over very easily preventing the wipers from curving with the windshield making them wipe everything but the section of the windshield that you are looking out of. Finally the engine which works well for the car but is offset by the horrible suspension which makes the HHR's ride feel like one of those quarter rides outside of a convenience store. In conclusion I took the HHR back and bought a Kia Spectra5 which was about four thousand less and far superior to the HHR.
I have a 2007 LT and love the way in handles. For a 4 cylinder it is very quick. I love the heated seats and the remote start. What a great car. Thanks Chevy, you've done it again.
I love my car
The seats are comfortable and not ridiculously large for the average woman. The options were just what I wanted: auto start, cruise control, lumbar option, electric seat, all the seats fold down, including the passenger seat, to make wonderful space, tinted windows, hatch back, good visibility, good pick-up, very good gas mileage. I have been driving on 10 days and still have nearly half a tank of gas. I love the retro look and great head room. It is a fun car with great AC/Heat, stereo, On-Star, and more. My dealership, Priority in Chesapeake, was wonderful and very patient with this buyer.
