The Chevrolet HHR Panel is a modified version of the regular HHR, deleting the rear seats in order to increase cargo capacity. The rear door handles and windows are also removed to optimize side panel space, providing a smooth exterior look that will appeal to small business owners who want to place advertising on their vehicles and retro fans alike.

The HHR Panel is available in two trims, LS and LT, both equipped with a 149 hp 2.2-liter four-cylinder engine and a five-speed manual transmission. A 172 hp 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine is optional for the LT, and a four-speed automatic transmission is available for both trims. Daytime running lights, driver and front passenger air bags, air conditioning, single-disc CD player and a tire pressure monitoring system are standard on all HHR Panel trims; LT models add alloy wheels, a power driver's seat and MP3 capability. A flat, rugged load floor and over 60 cubic feet of total cargo capacity (including underfloor storage) make the HHR Panel as functional as it is spacious.

The Chevrolet HHR Panel carries over from 2007 with minimal changes.

    AT A GLANCE

We found the Chevy HHR to be fun to drive. It isn't a sports car, but it's nimble and we were pleased with its acceleration. The HHR feels more responsive than its horsepower, torque, and transmission ratio numbers suggest. Plus, it gets decent fuel economy.
