2003 Chevrolet Express Overview
Introduction
The Chevrolet Express is a rugged, durable van capable of transporting several passengers comfortably and, as a cargo van, carrying a large payload.
The Chevrolet Express vans, which are available with a regular or an extended wheelbase, come standard with RWD, though the 1500 passenger van and the 2500 cargo van offer the option of AWD. Customers purchasing an Express van have the choice of six different engines ranging from the modest 4.3L Vortex V-6, which produces 200 hp @ 4400 rpm and 250 lb-ft @ 2800 rpm, and the 6.0L Vortec V-8, which increases the power output to 300 hp @ 4400 rpm and 360 lb-ft @ 4000 rpm. All engine types are teamed with a 4-speed automatic transmission. The Express passenger van is equipped to accommodate between eight and twelve people comfortably, and offers several convenient options. The Express cargo van, on the other hand, is an excellent base for a multi-purpose utility vehicle offering several cargo space modifications to meet any workplace requirements. The 2003 Express averages between 13 mpg city and 20 mpg highway.Next Steps »
