A six-speed automatic with steering wheel paddle shifters is available. The Z06 comes with a 505 hp LS7 7.0-liter V8 engine, sport handling suspension, and bigger wheels and tires. The Z06 is only available with a six-speed manual transmission.

For 2008, the Chevrolet Corvette gets interior improvements, engine upgrades, and new split-spoke aluminum wheels.
