2003 Cadillac Escalade ESV Overview
Introduction
The Cadillac Escalade ESV is the extended version of the Escalade model. In addition to providing five-star comfort, the ESV is intended to be the ultimate symbol of power and achievement, a mansion on wheels.
The ESV features a longer wheelbase and an increase in total length, which greatly enhances third-row seating legroom and rear cargo space. As well, access to third row seating is made easier in the ESV, because the vehicle's longer rear door provides a larger opening when the second-row seat is folded down. Standard equipment on the ESV includes: stability control, remote start, side curtain airbags, and power adjustable pedals. The ESV is powered by a 6.0L V-8 engine, which produces 345 hp @ 5200 rpm and 380 lb-ft @ 4000 rpm, and is matched to a 4-speed automatic transmission. NHTSA rates crash-tested vehicles by assigning them one to five stars, with five stars indicating the most injury protection and one star indicating the least protection.
