2008 Cadillac DTS Overview
Introduction
The 2008 Cadillac DTS is a full-size luxury sedan that offers impeccable road manners and a warm, spacious interior.
The front-wheel drive DTS can be configured to seat up to six people in a luxurious leather interior. XM Satellite radio and 18.8 cu-ft of trunk space contribute to its reputation as a long distance cruiser. Powered by GMs Northstar 4.6-liter V-8 engine, there are 292 hp and 275 hp versions, both controlled by a GM Hydra-Matic 4-speed automatic transmission. A Platinum edition is available that enhances all the luxury amenities with 18-inch wheels, Tuscany leather, and wood inlay. Also included is Lane Departure Warning, a new safety feature. Standard safety features include Stabilitrak and traction control, ABS brakes, and front, side, and side-curtain airbags.
For 2008, the Cadillac DTS gets more standard features and minimal interior changes.
NHTSA Frontal Crash Test
NHTSA rates crash-tested vehicles by assigning them one to five stars, with five stars indicating the most injury protection and one star indicating the least protection.
