2006 Buick Rendezvous Overview
Introduction
The Buick Rendezvous is easy to like, with solid engineering, useful flexibility, and a handsome appearance. It blurs the lines between sport utilities, minivans, luxury sedans, and station wagons.
The Rendezvous seats five passengers normally, but it can be equipped to seat seven. It is available in front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. In front-wheel drive models it is powered by a 201 hp 3.5-liter V-6 and in all-wheel drive models the horsepower is boosted to 196 hp. An additional 242 hp 3.6-liter V-6 is also available. All the engines are mated to a four-speed automatic transmission.
For 2006, the Buick Rendezvous receives trim changes, another engine option, and OnStar.
NHTSA Frontal Crash Test
NHTSA rates crash-tested vehicles by assigning them one to five stars, with five stars indicating the most injury protection and one star indicating the least protection.
