The 2008 Lucerne is Buicks flagship sedan. Inside, the Lucerne is elegant, plush, and comfortable. On the road, it's smooth and quiet, with precise steering and competent handling.

The 2008 Buick Lucerne is offered in CX, CXL, and CXS trims. The CX comes with a 197 hp 3.8-liter V6 engine, four-speed automatic transmission, 16-inch aluminum wheels, and cloth seats for five people. The CXL receives the same engine and transmission and upgrades with a firmer suspension, leather seats, and 17-inch wheels. Stabilitrak and six-passenger seating are available on the CX and CXL. The CXS comes standard with a 275 hp 4.6L Northstar V8 engine, 18-inch wheels, StabiliTrak, Magnasteer, and Magnetic Ride Control. New safety features Lane Departure Warning and Side Blind Zone Alert are optional. Standard safety features include anti-lock brakes, traction control, seat-mounted thorax airbags, and side-curtain airbags.

For 2008, the Buick Lucerne receives upgrades to standard features and some new safety related options.
