2005 Buick Century Overview

Introduction

The Buick Century is a reliable, comfortable, and affordable mid-size sedan that has been in production for nearly fifty years.

The Century has a 3.1L V-6 engine, which produces 175 hp @ 5200 rpm and 195 lb-ft @ 4000 rpm. In celebration of the vehicle's last year, an exclusive Special Edition package was created that includes ABS, dual-zone automatic climate control, driver side airbag, 16-inch chrome alloy wheels, and a chrome grille with a modified Buick badge. The Century also has 4-wheel disc brakes, available traction control, and, as an added bonus, comes equipped with OnStar. One unique feature in the Century is the front bench seat which allows for six passenger capacity. This useful feature, which is available in very few mid-size sedans, has contributed to the Century's continued popularity.

Though the 2005 model will be the last of its kind, ending out the vehicle's impressive run, the Century will be replaced by Buick's comparable new model, the LaCrosse.
