2005 BMW Z4 Review Summaries
What reviewers liked most about the BMW Z4:
Newly nimble, the Z4 ensures confidence with its stiff structure, modern suspension, and widened track, but there's no mistaking this for anything but a front-engined car.
-- Car and Driver
Wind buffeting is low with the top down at highway speeds and the interior is pretty quiet with the top and windows up.
-- MSN Autos
Both engines provide strong acceleration, although the car is a rocket with the 3-liter six, which propels the Z4 from 0-60 mph in 5.3 seconds with a manual gearbox.
-- MSN Autos
What reviewers liked least about the BMW Z4:
Rear visibility is poor with the top raised.
-- MSN Autos
BMW Z4 Comparisons:
The Z4 grips the road as surely as a Corvette or a Porsche Boxster S.
-- Car and Driver
Body dimensions are larger, and it has a slightly longer wheelbase and wider track than the Z3, but the new and more rigid body shell still manages to weigh a few pounds less than the old one.
