2003 BMW Z4 Overview
Introduction
The BMW Z4, which was designed to replace the Z3, has rocked the sports car world with its dramatic 'flame surfaced' styling and smooth power.
The Roadster is available in two trims: the 3.0i and the 2.5i. The 2.5i trim is equipped with a 3.0L inline 6-cylinder engine, which produces 184 hp @ 6000 rpm and 175 lb-ft @ 3500 rpm, and a 6-speed manual transmission. The 2.5i also comes with Xenon headlights and leatherette upholstery. The 3.0i trim on the other hand boasts a 3.0L inline 6-cylinder engine, which outputs a more impressive 225 hp @ 5900 rpm and 214 lb-ft @ 3500 rpm, and comes with leather upholstery, automatic climate control, and a Harman/Kardon premium audio system. A 6-speed STEPTRONIC automatic transmission with steering-wheel-mounted shift paddles is also available on all Z4 trims. The Z4 is a new addition to the BMW lineup in 2003.NHTSA Frontal Crash Test
NHTSA rates crash-tested vehicles by assigning them one to five stars, with five stars indicating the most injury protection and one star indicating the least protection.
