2006 BMW M Overview

Introduction

The BMW M is a high-performance version of the Z4.

The M is a two-seat roadster. It is based off of the Z4 and is almost indistinguishable except for different badging and internal performance upgrades. It is powered by a 330 hp magnesium engine that is mated to a six-speed manual transmission. Standard features also include stability and traction control, side-impact airbags, and computer-controlled variable differential lock.

The BMW M is a brand new model for 2006.

The M coupe is based off the BMW Z4 platform. It is performance enhanced in drivetrain, handling, and power to provide a true racing experience.

The BMW M is powered by a tuned magnesium 3.2 liter in-line six cylinder engine that produces 330 horsepower. The new engine is also able to achieve a higher 8,000 rpm redline. Unique two-stage brake lights increase visibility to other vehicles when they increase the illuminated taillight during hard braking. Exterior design is made more aggressive by adding an M-spec front bumper and sexy 18-inch wheels.

The BMW M coupe is a carryover from 2006.
