BMW ActiveHybrid X6

The ActiveHybrid X6 is BMW's powerful Sports Activity Coupe with full hybrid drive. This unique 4-door, 4-passenger vehicle combines dynamic performance and BMW's xDrive intelligent all-wheel drive system with enhanced fuel efficiency and reduced emissions.

The ActiveHybrid X6 is powered by a 400-hp 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with direct fuel injection; the gasoline engine is augmented by two integrated electric motors and a high-performance battery, yielding a system net power of 480 horsepower and 575 pound-feet of torque. A seven-speed two-mode active automatic transmission, including manual shift control and steering wheel paddles, features both fixed transmission ratios and a variable mode for an optimized driving experience at both low and high speeds. Building on the comprehensive equipment level of the X6 xDrive50i, the ActiveHybrid X6 boasts additional standard features that include: exclusive 20-inch "Aero" design alloy wheels, a distinctive "powerdome" hood, running boards, extended leather upholstery, heated multi-contour front seats, 4-zone climate control, keyless access, and a voice-activated hard drive-based navigation system with 12 gigabytes of dedicated media storage and DVD video capability. Safety features include anti-lock disc brakes, Dynamic Stability Control with traction control and rollover sensor, front and rear parking sensors, a rearview camera with Top View, BMW Assist and a tire pressure monitor, as well as active front head restraints, front side-impact airbags and overhead curtain airbags for both rows.

All-new last year, the BMW ActiveHybrid X6 carries over unchanged for 2011.
