1999 BMW 750 Overview
Introduction
The BMW 750 is an elegant luxury sedan that comes from a long line of well made cars known for the subtle way they combine power with comfort.
The 750 comes with a surprisingly powerful 5.4L V-12 engine, putting out 326 hp @ 5,000 rpm. The car is equipped with a 5-speed automatic transmission, and a series of luxury features you would expect from a high end car, such as all power options, and front, rear and side airbags. Not much has changed from the previous model year; however the 5.4L engine has been slightly improved to give this car a bit more horsepower.By purchasing a BMW 750, you'll get a sedan that's big, smooth, fast and inspiring. This is a luxury sedan in the truest sense and it is impressive to drive. The 750 iL and iL protection are powered by a 326 hp @ 5000rpm, 5.4-liter V12 engine with a five-speed automatic transmission. The 750i has a fuel economy of 13mpg and 20mpg for city and highway driving, respectively. Featuring two trim levels, iL and iL protection, the 750 offers a 5 passenger or 4 passenger sedan which comes fully equipped with head protection, heated front seats, power windows and locks, anti-lock brakes and optional rear side-impact airbags for extra protection. Both 750 models offer a Navigation system, 6-disc CD Player/Changer and a break resistant sunroof/moon roof as optional features. Despite these upgrades, 7-Series prices remain the same as last year.
The BMW 7 Series is so smooth that full days behind the wheel are not taxing, it's easy to drive on winding mountain roads, and few luxury sedans can keep up with it at high speeds.
The BMW 7 Series cars are available in two lengths, each with a choice of engines. The 750i and long-wheelbase 750Li are powered by a 360-hp, 4.8-liter V8 with a six-speed automatic transmission with Steptronic. Safety features include dual frontal airbags, driver and front-passenger side-impact airbags, and BMW's Head Protection System. Also standard is BMW's Active Knee Protection.
For 2006, the BMW 7 Series models offer a freshened appearance with a redesigned grille, hood and headlamps. The V8 engine on the 750i and 750Li has been revised and delivers significantly more power. And the iDrive system has been revised for improved graphics and easier operation.
