2009 Audi S6 Overview
Introduction
The Audi S6 is the sport-refined version of the luxurious A6 sedan, boasting more power, exclusive design details and a level of technological sophistication few cars achieve.
The S6 is equipped with a powerful 435-hp 5.2-liter V10 engine with direct fuel injection, a six-speed automatic transmission with Tiptronic manual mode and paddle shifters, and quattro all-wheel drive. Building on the A6 4.2 sedan, every S6 is outfitted with a power sunroof, bi-xenon adaptive headlights, leather upholstery, heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, satellite radio, Bluetooth wireless connectivity and Audi's Multi Media Interface (MMI). Additional standard equipment exclusive to the S6 includes a sport-tuned suspension, 19-inch alloy wheels with performance tires, aluminum-optic exterior mirrors, sport seats and aluminum interior trim elements. Standard safety features include electronic stability and traction control, 4-wheel anti-lock brakes with brake assist and front, front side-impact and overhead curtain airbags; rear side-impact airbags and a new Audi Side Assist blind spot detection system are optional.
The Audi S6 is redesigned for 2009, with fresh exterior styling that includes a revised front bumper, grille and foglamps, as well as new front and rear lighting with LED daytime running lamps. New for 2009, the Advanced Key passive entry/start system, an Audi Music Interface with iPod connection and a voice-activated navigation system with integrated rear camera parking assist are now standard.
