2008 Acura RL Overview

Introduction

As the flagship for the Acura Division, the Acura RL is one of the most sophisticated touring sedans on the road, blending smooth power and responsive handling with cutting-edge technologies and luxurious appointments.

A 290 hp 3.5-liter V6 engine powers the RL, and is paired to a five-speed automatic transmission with SportShift manual mode and paddle shifters; Acura's exclusive Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) system enhances grip, stability and all-weather control. The RL is outfitted with 17-inch alloy wheels, Xenon High-Intensity Discharge (HID) headlights and a power moonroof; interior comforts include heated front seats, leather upholstery, automatic climate control, satellite radio and HandsFreeLink (Bluetooth) wireless connectivity. Standard safety features include four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) with traction control, front side-impact airbags and overhead curtain airbags. The available Technology package includes a navigation system with voice activation, integrated rearview camera parking assist and real-time traffic information, and an Active Front Lighting System (AFS). Additional available high-tech equipment includes a Michelin PAX run-flat tire system, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and a Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS).
