2006 Acura RL Overview

Introduction

The Acura RL comes loaded with every luxury and convenience feature imaginable, including leather upholstery and Acura's navigation system. It is powered by a 290-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 mated to a 5-speed automatic with manual gear-shift. Safety features include SH-AWD, Vehicle Stability Assist with traction control, anti-lock brakes with electronic brake-force distribution and Brake Assist. Passive safety features include a driver's and front-passenger's airbags, side curtain airbags, and side-impact airbags. A tire pressure monitoring system is also standard.

For 2006, the Acura RL gets some package changes.

Standard safety features include four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) with traction control, front side-impact airbags and overhead curtain airbags. The available Technology package includes a navigation system with voice activation, integrated rearview camera parking assist and real-time traffic information, and an Active Front Lighting System (AFS). Additional available high-tech equipment includes a Michelin PAX run-flat tire system, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and a Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS).

The 2008 Acura RL is a carryover from 2007.
