7 years of loyalty down the drain
jb0403400 - 11/26/2011 Report This Comment

I was a customer (key word "was") a Tom O'Brien Hyundai customer for 7 years. I spent thousands of dollars for service there, when someone picked up the phone there, I knew them by their voice before they even said their name…. Flash to present day. I am in the market for a new car, of course I would go to the place where I have been loyal for the previous 7 years. I knew the type of car as well as the color which I wanted. I stated all of these features to the salesperson (Marcus). He did not have one of the cars which I wanted on the lot, but assured me it would not be a problem to locate. I had completely done my research as well and I told him exactly which dealerships had the exact car I wanted in the area. His first "offer" was $4,000 over sticker price, and tried to tell me that the figures were computer generated (obviously that was not true). I informed him of the fact that it was 4k over sticker, showed him what I could purchase the car for at other dealerships, and told exactly what I would pay for the car. I told him that I had no issue walking out either. I gave him the price I would make a deal right there for. Every time he had to speak with his manager (normal trick) and asked for my credit card every time ( I am much smarter than that) After he had 3 chances to meet my price, I left. I was then threatened by his manager prior to leaving. I was beyond insulted and disappointed that 7 years of loyalty and thousands of dollars were wasted and undone by one lousy salesperson and sales manager. I even gave them a second chance and contacted their customer service, who decided to ignore me entirely. They have now shown multiple times that they care about no one but themselves I later found out that Tom O'Brien will not be allowed to sell Hyundai cars for much longer, and that they are known to be bay far the worst Hyundai dealership in New England. I have spoken to many people, including people who used to work there. Dont wast your time with them
