According to Luke Aker's video, his 1996 Nissan Maxima GLE can get you "from point A to B ... most of the time."
Aker is a Florida filmmaker who turned the camera on his car when it came time to sell. The result is 60 seconds of sarcastic hilarity as the sales pitch takes on the intensity and cinematography of an action-movie preview.
The car, which comes "fully loaded with an engine, wheels, tires and an automatic transmission" got a lot of attention as a result of the video. The production was so good, in fact, that Nissan ended up buying the Maxima from Akers and donated $1,000 to the charity of his choice.
"It's really fun to see a company like Nissan reach out like this," said Aker, according to AdWeek.
Kudos to both Aker and Nissan for their work here. Check out the video above and then head over to the Ikonik Films site for the print ads that were also part of his campaign.
