A Florida woman ran over a pedestrian and hit a fire hydrant, causing a sinkhole to open up and swallow a nearby car, The Sun Sentinel reported.

Ivanka Cancic, 50, allegedly plowed into an elderly woman out for a walk with her church group around 6 a.m. Monday in Lauderhill, Fla. Cancic rolled over the woman's arm, then collided with a fire hydrant while trying to flee the scene of the accident. The second crash caused water to shoot into the air and flow 30 feet down the street. The excess water opened up a sinkhole in a condominium parking lot, swallowing a 2001 Subaru Outback and causing traffic snarls in the area for blocks.

Police told The Sun Sentinel a nearly empty bottle of tequila was found in the car with Cancic, who was confused at the scene. A judge at Cancic's hearing Tuesday noted she has nearly 30 years worth of drug and driving violations on her record. Cancic is being held on $170,000 bond and faces 10 criminal charges.
